Casing
Factory welded filter housing and clean air plenum constructed of #10 Gauge H.R.S. Front panel and tube sheet made of #7 Gauge H.R.S. Each filter access port contains two 26" long filters mounted end to end. The original filters are factory installed.
The Dust Collector is of weather proof construction, primed both inside and out, with a finish coat of machinery enamel. The unit is designed for a maximum operating pressure of 20" w.g. Exterior compressed air supply connection is 1" N.P.T. Interior compressed air plumbing is factory installed.
Internal wiring to all valves and solenoids is factory installed with NEMA 4 solenoid enclosures and pulse control panel. The entire collector is shipped in major sub-assemblies for minimum field erection. A Magnahelix gauge and pressure differential switch are supplied to indicate operating pressure drop across the filters and to allow automatic pulse cleaning upon demand at a pre-set pressure drop. Hopper and Discharge
Hopper fabricated from #10 Gauge H.R.S. with 60 degree sloped sides, heavy duty structural steel frame with support legs and base plates. These discharge points at the bottom of the hoppers connect directly to 45 gallon drums or to dust bags. Return to Top
Fan Assembly
The fan is of mild steel construction, c/w sleeve in, flange out and v-belt drive with guards. Complete with T.E.F.C. drive motor mounted on the roof of the dust collector. Return to Top
The cartridge filter elements consist of a pleated cell of polyester and cellulose flame resistant filter fabric reinforced with a perforated metal body for rigidity during pulsing. The maximum temperature rating is 150 degrees F. The open pleat design of our filter provides for excellent dust release, at lower pressures, as compared with filters with more filter media and tighter pleats. The corrugated cylinder filter construction includes stamped steel end caps bonded to the ends of the filter with neoprene ring gaskets at both ends for a positive airtight seal. Filter efficiency is 99.7 % collection efficiency by weight down to and including .3 micron particle size. Return to Top
Inlet
The Dust Collector is equipped with a High Level Dirty Air Inlet Plenum which will accept the incoming high velocity dirty air. The dusty in-coming air will enter the dirty air plenum. The large particles will lose velocity in this plenum and reduce the wear and dust loading on the filters and extend their life. Return to Top
Filter Cleaning
Automatic reverse air pulse using a nominal 90 psig. oil and water free compressed air supply. No internal moving parts. Cleaning mode is actuated by a solid state control timer that energises each solenoid valve in series and opens the corresponding air supply diaphragm valve to clean a pair of filters mounted in each filter port.
Filters are mounted near horizontal, on a downward incline. The jet of compressed air is passed through a venturi, which entrains additional air, into the end of two filters in series to produce a true pneumatic cleaning of the cartridges. Collected particulate is released by the pulse shock and gravitates into the discharge hopper with the aid of the downdraft airflow.
Nominal compressed air requirements are 3 scfm per valve at 90 psig. Each solenoid valve is factory pre-set at a 100 millisecond pulse with an adjustable 2 to 35 second delay before sequencing to the next valve. Nominal factory setting is 10-second delay interval. Average compressed air requirement is 18 scfm @ 90 psig. Return to Top
