Shot Blast/Peening Configurations

Monorail

With Monorail Blast Machines, the parts to be processed are hung on rotating hooks. These are attached to trolleys suspended from an overhead track. Trolley movement can either be Continuous or Indexing. Pneumatically powered doors are replaced with inlet and exit vestibules with Rubber Finger seals when continuous operation is required.

Spinner Hanger

Spinner Hanger Machines utilize a rotating hook to support the load. Two types of Spinner Hangers are available. Overhead Hook Machines use a monorail trolley to bring the product into and out of the blast machine. The monorail can be in / out or it can be a "Y" configuration with a Track Switch. 2-Chamber Index Machines have 2 hooks attached inside a divided, indexing, cylindrical set of blast chambers. One chamber is exposed to the blasting action while the other is outside for loading and unloading. Index Machines require no overhead monorail.

Tumble Blast

Tumble Blast Machines are the work horse of industry. They process batch loads of parts inside an enclosed blast chamber with an endless belt that cradles and tumbles the parts during blasting. These machines can be expanded into fully automated cells incorporating a powered blast chamber door, automatic loader with load cells and a variety of take-away conveyors. Both Steel Belt and Rubber Belt Models are available.

Multi-Table

Multi-Table Machines have Rotating Satellite Tables attached to a main ring. These machines provide exceptional cleaning on complex parts and are often fitted with upgraded electrics and used as Shot Peeners.

Rotary Table

Rotary Table Machines are available in 2 styles. The Swing Table style has the table attached to the door. When the door opens the table is exposed for easy loading and unloading. A second door can be fitted increase cleaning capacity. As illustrated a rotary hook can also be installed. With Fixed Table machines, the doors open and expose a portion of the stationary table for loading and unloading. Weight capacities are greater for Fixed Table Machines. Multiple Blast Heads can be fitted on both styles for larger units.

Wire Mesh Belt Tunnel

Wire Mesh Belt Machines can be configured to blast clean complex shapes and can have up to a total of 8 blast heads mounted above and below the open mesh belt insuring cleaning of all surfaces of the product. An advantage with this machine style is that a great variety of shapes can be processed without any fixturing or tooling required to locate the product.

Structural Steel Blast Cleaners

Structural Steel Blast Cleaners are designed in 2 styles: Post Cleaners are designed to clean complex weldments. The Blast Heads are angled to clean the leading and trailing edges of the product as well as the sides, top and bottom. Pre Cleaners are designed to clean standard structural shapes and plate. The Blast Heads are mounted at Right Angles to the direction of travel. Pre Clean systems are smaller and less expensive. Material Handling Options include Roller Conveyor, Overhead Monorail and Work Car.
